Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency –
The Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency provides independent 25 year guarantees for
Cavity Wall Insulation fitted by registered installers in the UK and Channel islands.
The Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency was established in consultation with the
Government's Energy, Environment and Waste Directorate (a division of DETR) to provide
householders with an independent, uniform and dependable guarantee covering defects
in materials and workmanship.
British Board of Agrément –
The BBA is the UK’s major authority offering approval of construction products,
systems and installers.
Supporting the Agrément Certificate product approval work. The BBA undertake testing,
factory and site inspections. They also offer management and environmental systems
certification against the ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 series and product testing to European
and other Standards. They also hold UKAS accreditation for a wide range of their
services.
National Insulation Association –
The National Insulation Association represents the manufacturers and installers
of Cavity Wall and Loft Insulation and Draught Proofing and other innovative solutions.
Both the NIA and its members are fully committed to maintaining and raising standards
within the insulation industry.
Renewable Energy Association -
The Association sponsors the Renewable Energy Assurance Scheme, which sets standards
for the provision of renewable and other on-site energy production for non-industrial
customers. The Renewable Energy Assurance Listed mark is a symbol that consumers
can look to for quality of products and services. The REA also provides a public
enquiry service to connect consumers to system suppliers.
Construction Line –
Construction line is a public private partnership between the Department of Business,
Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (formerly the DTI) and Capita Business Services.
As a national online database, it is the UK's largest register for pre-qualified
contractors and consultants. Its aim is to improve efficiencies for buyers and suppliers
in the construction industry, specifically by reducing the duplication of work and
administration relating to the process of pre-qualifying suppliers for construction
contracts.
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme –
CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification
in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers (those who provide
goods and services) and to organisations (buyers) looking for suitably competent
suppliers.
Microgeneration Certification Scheme –
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent scheme that certifies
microgeneration products and installers in accordance with consistent standards.
It is designed to evaluate microgeneration products and installers against robust
criteria providing greater protection for consumers.
The MCS is the only certification scheme to cover all microgeneration products and
services, and has support from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, industry
and non-governmental groups as a prime method for making a substantial contribution
to cutting the UK's dependency on fossil fuels and carbon dioxide emissions
Moody International Certification –
Moody International Group is a worldwide technical services organisation dedicated
